Privacy policy

What this site collects

Newsletter subscription. When you subscribe, your email address is collected and stored by Beehiiv, the email service that delivers the weekly. Beehiiv also records opens, clicks, and unsubscribes, as most email services do.

Idea submissions. When you send a 1%, the form collects your name, firm, email, and what you wrote. Submissions are stored by Netlify, which hosts this site, and are read by Dan Hancock.

Hosting logs. Netlify, like any host, may log standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, and pages requested, for security and operation of the site.

Cookies. This site does not set advertising or tracking cookies. The embedded subscribe form is served by Beehiiv and may use cookies necessary for the form to work. No third-party analytics or ad pixels are installed.

How it's used

To send the weekly you asked for, to review and, if selected, publish your idea with the credit you provided, and to keep the site running. Nothing is sold, rented, or shared with advertisers.

What you can do

Unsubscribe from any issue using the link in the footer of the email. To have your submission or subscriber record deleted, email the address in the welcome email or contact Asset Financial Planners through its website. Requests are honored within 30 days.

Third parties

Beehiiv (email delivery), Netlify (hosting and form handling), and Google Fonts (typefaces). Each has its own privacy policy. Links from this site to Asset Financial Planners, Google, Amazon, or LinkedIn take you to sites with their own policies.

Children

This site is for financial professionals and is not directed to anyone under 18.

Changes

Updates are posted here with a new effective date.
